Patricia Bizzell and Herzberg, General Introduction.

I liked this reading a lot because I thought it was a very thorough introduction to the definition and history of rhetoric. I thought the sections on the history and the changing definition of rhetoric and the way the definition has changed over time was very interesting. In fact, I thought it was interesting that the definition of rhetoric has changed it all. However I have never really taken the time to consider rhetoric at all, I had no idea that it had a history or that it played such a big part in higher education back in the day. I also thought it was interesting that solipsism is/was not generally accepted as part of rhetoric because that is the only one that I have heard about before!
